Aura Tycoon is a private, independent educational project — not a school, tuition centre, or exam board, and not affiliated with Cambridge Assessment International Education, Pearson Edexcel, or any official examination body. Core revision features are free and use only the minimum data needed to save your child's progress.
What we collect, and what we don't
Sign-in
Google Login is used for authentication, giving us only the name and email address needed to create an account and save progress.
Usage data
We record correct/incorrect answers solely to power the Weakness Log — nothing beyond what's needed for that feature.
No selling, ever
Aura Tycoon is not a commercial data business. Your child's data is never sold, rented, or distributed to third-party advertisers or external companies.
Parental supervision encouraged
As with any app, we encourage parents to monitor their child's activity. Using Aura Tycoon means consenting to the collection of the basic login and performance data described here.
How the free and paid model works
Aura Tycoon's core revision experience — practice questions, Aura Points, and the Weakness Log — is free and will remain free. As the platform grows, additional advanced features may be offered through an optional subscription, similar to how tools like Blooket structure their free and paid tiers. No feature that is currently free will be moved behind a paywall later.
How Aura Points and rewards actually work
Aura Points earned in the app are entirely fictional and hold no real-world monetary value on their own. Any physical or external reward redeemed using them is an informal arrangement made between a parent and their child at home — Aura Tycoon simply keeps score. We'd encourage parents to stay involved in what's being redeemed, the same way you would with any reward system.
A few things worth knowing plainly
Aura Tycoon is a continuously evolving personal project. Content, game mechanics, and the interface may be updated, modified, or occasionally taken offline without prior notice. While the platform is not affiliated with any exam board, questions are original content modelled after general syllabus requirements. We don't guarantee specific academic outcomes, and — as with any online service — we can't promise uninterrupted uptime or guarantee against the occasional loss of saved data. We think it's fairer to say this plainly upfront than to bury it in a Terms page nobody reads.
